Release: 3.0.53
Date: 5/13/2008 12:00:00 AM

Firmware:  Includes vNet Builder Firmware version 1.66.00 and vNet Audio Firmware version A-6-2-12.

Recommended For:

  • New Installations
  • Existing installations that require the new features or resolution of specific issues addressed by this release
Enhancements:
  • Adds system restore feature. (For details, please see the Application Note available in the Info > Literature area of vNet Manager.)
  • Adds ability to change and upload lighting scripts on VC3 demo case touchscreens.
  • Adds prompt to upload archived sites to vNet Manager.
  • Bridge firmware is now uploaded before device firmware and scripts. Note that this causes the bridge to reboot. The Upload Dialog now waits up to ten minutes to automatically reconnect to the bridge and continue with the firmware upload.
  • Remote firmware updates are no longer allowed.
  • If uploading firmware or scripts alone could cause firmware/script incompatibility, vNet Builder will force both firmware and scripts to be uploaded.
Issues Resolved:
  • Fixed issue that could occur when sites were partially commissioned and had buttons that were clones of buttons that had not been commissioned.
  • Fixed issue in which a VC Demo touchscreen could appear in the BOM as a standard Color Touchscreen and vice versa.
  • Miscellaneous bug fixes
Known Issues:
  • When Restoring a partially commissioned site, the modules that come up as NOT FOUND in the Bridge Status still get queued for firmware and fail 6 times.
  • Bridge Module LED may be solid blue after a system restore. Re-paperclipping the Bridge will resolve the issue.
  • Erasing Bridge data also erases archive data from the currently open site. Recommend creating a vArc of any site before erasing.
  • In sites created in vNet Builder 2.3 or earlier, Touchpad/Keypad buttons that originally were programmed as overrides can not be reprogrammed as clones or clone masters.
  • One-way scenes from Builder 2.x sites may convert to All-Exact scenes in Builder 3.x rather than timed scenes.
  • Miscellaneous annoyances on Windows Vista machines.

Release: 3.0.43
Date: 3/12/2008 12:00:00 AM
Firmware:  Includes vNet Builder Firmware version 1.60.00 and vNet Audio Firmware version A-6-0-11.

Recommended For:

  • New Installations
  • Existing installations that require the new features or resolution of specific issues addressed by this release
Enhancements:
  • Supports AS2-800/3 and AS2-1200/6 Audio Servers
  • Supports  TM1-1S and TM1-2S Tuner Modules
  • When connecting to a Bridge Module, vNet Builder now checks the firmware level to ensure compatibility.
Issues Resolved:
  • Fixed issue in which fonts on TP2-1 Touchpad labels were displayed and printed incorrectly.
  • Fixed issue in which multi-line text on touchpad labels was top, rather than center justified.
  • Added Backbone Bus relationship to MultiLink Module and Bridge Module
  • Fixed issue in which relationship lines could disappear from floorplan
  • Fixed issues in which database corruption could occur if vNet Builder received a full disk error from Windows while attempting to write to the database.
  • Miscellaneous bug fixes
Known Issues:
  • The fix noted above which corrected the fonts on TP2-1 Touchpad labels will have the short-term effect of altering the apparent font size on any existing TP2-1 Touchpads. If you have an existing site with TP2-1 Touchpads, please verify all labels before printing.
  • The BOM prices are incorrect for existing sites opened in this version of Builder
  • vNet Builder allows a Wired to relationship between Wireless Touchpad Dimmer and a motor pair even though Touchpad Dimmers do not work with motor pairs.
  • If a Touchpad Dimmer has a Wired to relationship with a load and then that load is connected to additional loads with fixture to fixture relationships, an error will occur when the total load group wattage exceeds 240W. To avoid this problem, create all fixture to fixture relationships before wiring to the Touchpad Dimmer.

Release: 2.3.12
Date: 10/19/2007 12:00:00 AM

Recommended For:

  • New Installations
  • Existing installations that require the new features or resolution of specific issues addressed by this release
Major Enhancements:
  • Supports Climate Application
  • Support Security Application
Open Issues:
Commission Audio wizard does not check devices for newer firmware.  The Commission Audio wizard checks devices for older firmware and automatically updates system components as needed.  It does not check devices for newer firmware – it is possible to attempt to commission newer audio hardware with an old version of vNet Builder with unpredictable results.  It is always recommended to connect to the internet and check for the latest vNet Builder release before connecting to any hardware.

Windows Vista screensaver causes unexpected behavior in Commission Audio wizard. On a Windows Vista computer, if the screensaver starts while the Commission Audio wizard is uploading firmware and/or programming, the wizard will exit and uploading will stop. If the screensaver starts while at any other point in the wizard, the wizard will stop responding. In both cases, no data will be lost and restarting the wizard will allow completion of the audio system commissioning. It is recommended that Windows Vista users turn their screensaver off before using the Commission Audio wizard.
